During the summer time a unique place in Zürich is crowded by Lindy Hop and Balboa dancers: the music pavilion at Bürkliplatz (Bürkli square), in the middle of the city and at the Zürichsee (Lake Zurich).
Bürkliplatz is named after Arnold Bürkli (1833-1894), the engineer responsible for the construction of the city's quais, and was built 1887. The music pavilion was built 1908. Both are used for all kind of events and happenings (such as vegetable market, flea market, concerts, dances…).
