An assembly of swing dancer musicians based in Seattle WA has recently attracted a lot of attention. The Careless Lovers has been part of the First Place entry to SVJD's third annual Swing/Jazz Dance Music Video Contest. The title of the song is Black Coffee.

Side note: You might recognise many faces in this production if you are familiar with the Seattle swing dance scene!

How the band describe themselves: 
«The Careless Lovers are a party-to-go made up of Seattle's most energetic young musicians, playing brass, reeds, guitar, and upright bass. The Lovers like to sing old-timey melodies and group call and responses that get everyone involved. The band can be found on the streets of Capitol Hill and downtown Seattle, and increasingly in the cozy dance halls, coffee shops, and bars around Seattle.»

Michael Faltesek: guitar and vocals; Freddie Dickinson: trombone; Kevin Buster: clarinet, soprano sax; Brett Nakashima: upright bass

I like the quite unusual line-up with trombone and soprano sax, these two instruments are complementing each other very well! Also the singing is cool. I'm pretty sure, from now on we will here that song quite often on the swing dance floors all over the world.
